The Marvel Cinematic Universe has grown as it released yet another highly anticipated film this year called Eternals.

This film is unlike anything the Marvel Cinematic Universe has ever seen before. “The epic story, spanning thousands of years, features a group of immortal heroes forced out of the shadows to reunite against mankind’s oldest enemy, The Deviants,” ew.com. Many people are excited for the turn this movie will take the universe and Marvel’s phase four. Silvana Gonzalez, sophomore, had this to say about the film, “Watching the trailer makes me want to go to the movies and see it.”

 After the events of Avengers: Endgame, this film has introduced fans to new characters and relationships. Also, this film ties in with other films that have yet to be released by Marvel Studios like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Spiderman: No Way Home.

Eternals hopes to bring together a wide variety of actors and characters to help show the diversity of our world. The film features things never seen before in the Marvel Cinematic Universe like LGBTQ+ characters. Also, according to collider.com, “…Makkari—the resident speedster of the Eternals—is the franchise’s first deaf superhero..” Lauren Ridloff, Eternals cast member, had this to say about the groundbreaking film, “It makes so much sense to have this diversity and representation within the MCU because what the MCU is offering the world is amazing…” 

As of November 5, Eternals added new characters and a new story to entice Marvel fans with.
