Things have gotten out of hand in anticipation for the new Doctor Strange sequel by leaving fans on the edge of their seats from the chilling and suspenseful trailers.

Nearly 6 years after the release of the first Doctor Strange film and multiple Avengers movies, Benedict Cumberbatch will finally readorn the Cloak of Levitation for the long awaited sequel. The sequel is set to be directed by Sam Raimi who, “…famously directed each film in the original Spider-Man trilogy, starring Tobey Maguire,” said

After the release of the first trailer at the end of Spiderman: No Way Home, fans were ecstatic to see more of Stephen Strange, Wong, and Wanda Maximoff. “I feel Marvel gets better every year. It’s great to see two underrated characters get the recognition they deserve,” said junior Briana Quiroga Flores. Fans also can’t wait to be introduced to America Chavez played by Xochitl Gomez. The film will follow Stephen Strange as he tries to pick up the pieces after his destruction of the multiverse.

Trailers have confirmed The Scarlet Witch will play a large role in the new film including possibly playing the role of villain against Strange. Despite this, many believe that Strange and Maximoff will have to team up in order to defeat an unnamed villain.  Maximoff’s story will pick up after the events of WandaVision and her finally embracing her full Scarlet Witch abilities.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness seems a worthwhile sequel for the beloved character and an amazing chance to meet new additions to the Marvel universe. The film promises to be just as action packed and chilling as the trailer. Make sure to check out Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness when it is released to theaters on May 6th.
