Trying to solve a murder in your senior year of high school sounds crazy, right? Well that’s the life of Pippa Fitz-Amobi in A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson, follows a high school student as, she faces her final project, where she tries to prove that the death of local girl, Katie Bell, faced a wrongful accusation of murder. First she goes to the unlikely source, brother of the accused killer, Ravi Singh. The two desperately try to clear the name of Ravi’s brother and it slowly spirals out of control into something entirely unexpected.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is the perfect book for those who are fans of true crime or even those who have never delved into true crime and mystery stories before. Personally, until reading this book and the rest of the series, I never understood the appeal of stories related to crime but now I understand it perfectly. Senior Mikaela Riehle said it best, “AGGGTM perfectly combines mystery, friendship, and disbelief into a nail-biting exploration… that makes the book nearly impossible to put down.” The other two books in the series, Good Girl, Bad Blood and As Good As Dead, are equally as good as their predecessor and part of a truly amazing and intriguing series.

These crippling and thrilling reads need to be on the top of your to be read as soon as possible.
