God rest the Queen. After her over seventy year reign, Queen Elizabeth ll passed away.

On Feb. 6, 1952, the Queen came into power and served her country until her death on September 8th 2022, according to pbs.org.  Prime Minister Liz Truss had this to say about the Queen, “[she] provided us with the stability and strength that we needed.”

 Following the death of the Queen, the United Kingdom went into twelve days of mourning. During these twelve days the Queen’s body traveled from Balmoral Castle to Westminster Abbey, where she stayed until her funeral. The funeral was attended by all of the Queen’s children, including the now King Charles, Prince William and Kate Middleton, their two eldest children, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

After a life filled with a dedication to those she loved, the reign of Queen Elizabeth has come to an end.
