The original Mean Girls was an iconic film and many are wondering if the new movie will be up to their standards. Mean Girls the musical movie came to theaters on January 12, 2024. Mean Girls follows the life of a group of girls in high school. A new girl moves to the school and attempts to join a group called “the Plastics”. 

This is very similar to the original Mean Girls movie, but a lot of iconic scenes were taken out. Many people are disappointed about this. If a scene wasn’t taken out, it was changed and some were good but others weren’t, However, Tina Fey did a great job in this movie. 

Numerous additional songs were added. Many people think that the songs are not needed and distract from the main idea. Many of the iconic scenes were not as good as the original and many people didn’t end up liking the movie as much as the original. This movie is in theaters now and will be available to watch at home on Paramount+.
