Released in the theaters on June 16, 2023, The Flash built up great advertisements for its movie starring Ezra Miller. DC fans raced to the theaters, expecting the movie’s execution to match its trailer.
The plot of the movie The Flash travels back in time to save his mom, as his story goes, and is said to have caused a “butterfly effect”, altering the future. As he is stuck in this new reality he warped from the past, he calls for help from Batman when all realities are threatened.
The movie reviews are mixed, with plenty of five stars and plenty of one stars. Some reviews will shame everything about the movie, CGI, acting, and script; while the other half has no notes. Everyone has opinions, though a specific one-star review by Shane du Plooy says, “This movie is not just a disappointing superhero film but also stands out as one of the most underwhelming movies in general. The pacing is haphazard, leaving the viewer disoriented, while the script fails to deliver a compelling storyline. Ezra Miller’s acting falls short, bordering on unwatchable, and the CGI, considering the hefty budget of over 200 million dollars, is unforgivably subpar.” Including a comment of someone adding the CGI looks like possible AI-generated sentences.
While not every part of The Flash movie is bad, half of an audience wishing to declare it the worst superhero movie ever can only mean the film was lacking. The plot of the movie had great potential, but the execution let everyone down.
