Pop star Ariana Grande, dropped a new album entitled “Eternal Sunshine” that includes 13 different tracks. The album was released on March 8, 2024.

Coming four years since her last album, the title is inspired from Grande’s favorite movie, starring Jim Carrey, ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’. On March 7th, Ariana stated during an interview, “…So many people can relate to knowing that something isn’t right [in a relationship] but loving so much and wanting to stay… These songs had little tidbits of that theme. I just felt really inspired by it”. 

With good reviews coming in about the album from various major outlets, the most played song is “True Story’, with about 50 million listens. Including a new music video for “We Can’t Be Friends” that shows Grande in an office, laying on a chair, where her memories of her one-time beau, both good and bad, are eventually erased. 

The album in general leans toward the emotional side, touching on loss, grief, love, and heartbreak. In an interview, Ariana states, “This album is most special to me for many reasons and just holds so much” and explains her love for her fans and how much she appreciates and enjoys our loving responses towards her and everything that has been going on.

Ariana has future plans for more music to come out in the following years; some hope she will collaborate with old music artists and new as well! Going around campus asking about how certain students feel about the new album, Javier Parra, freshmen, stated that the album is personally one of her bests albums so far and enjoys all of the songs well.
