Christmas is the time of year for joy and excitement among billions of people around the world.  Many who celebrate this holiday get into the Christmas spirit by participating in different events, and Arizona hosts lots of popular events.

The Phoenix Zoolights are loved by many Arizona residents. During this event they have hundreds of lights you can walk through and take a peek at. These lights are very dazzling and mesmerizing. An interesting thing about these lights is they are all around animal habitats. “I think that anytime you can be with your family and friends looking at cool things like the holiday lights all over the place is always a good time,” said Melissa Zimmerman, teacher. These kinds of Christmas events bring people together. 

Another Christmas event that is beloved are Winterfests. Winterfests in Arizona are hosted all across the valley. For example in Avondale, children can take pictures with Santa, create arts and crafts, watch performances, and play games. These activities are very family friendly and they never fail to bring the Christmas spirit to others 

Ice skating is a very popular activity to do during the holidays. It is also a fun experience to do with your family or friends. There are holiday skating rinks held at  Westgate in Glendale and in Mesa. There are different kinds of foods, vibrant music, and festive lights around the rinks to enjoy. Just remember to be careful, as Ice Skating can be dangerous.
