Ambassadors for Christ Club Overview
The Ambassadors for Christ club at this school is a student-lead program, with the aim to bring the love of Jesus to the school community.
The club is more than just practicing religion, it is also about finding and having a supportive community. ”We want to share the gospel and provide a space where people can come and bond with each other and learn more about Christ.” said Peter LeStourgeon, leader. The mission statement is “Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.” (2nd Corinthians 5:20)
On campus, the Ambassadors for Christ fellowship with different people and invite others to experience life with Jesus. Members of the club enjoy the friendship that comes with being a part of the group.”It’s fun hanging out with other believers and being able to answer questions about topics that they are wondering about.” LeStourgeon said.
They hold meetings on Wednesday EOP in the pride point room.A typical meeting starts with a prayer and then one of the leaders presents a slideshow on a topic. The slideshow shows a bible verse and the person who’s presenting tells you what the bible verse means or what it stands for. After every bible verse there are discussion questions after it that goes with the topic. One of the leaders then go and pass around postcard that the members who are there can write prayers and praises. After that, they collect them and pass them around to the other people there so they can pray for the person of the card they got. They end the meeting with a prayer.
In conclusion, the Ambassadors for Christ club is dedicated to learning about the word of Jesus, building a strong community, and welcoming everyone to join their club.
