Starbucks has rolled out their new policy nationwide, and enforcement began on Monday, Jan. 27, 2025.
This new policy is very significant as it comes out with many new changes people aren’t used to. Starbucks has decided that their bathrooms are for buying customers only. This means that customers may no longer use their restroom or even hang and sit around the shop if they do not purchase something. Water cups are no longer free at Starbucks either, as they have stated that only buying customers are allowed to get water, as stated by employees of the company.
On the bright side, with their new policies, they are determined to return to their old coffee shop feel, according to employee posts on social media app TikTok. Starbucks will now serve customers in glass cups if they order “for here.” They will also be serving their meals on plates rather than just the paper bags people are used to. In addition, they have brought back their milk and sugar station to specialize drinks as customers desire. This includes their different milks, creamer, and sugar. Starbucks is stating they’re returning to their old roots, and with these changes, they are sure to be on the right track.
