Nvidia is a company that is pioneering a graphics processing unit (GPU) that accelerates computing. On their website, they claim to “specialize in products and platforms for the large, growing markets of gaming, professional visualization, data center, and automotive. [Their]creations are loved by the most demanding computer users in the world – gamers, designers, and scientists.” A GPU is mostly known as a video card, which allows the computer’s monitor to display graphics. The card is mostly found inside personal computers and laptops Although some laptops have it integrated into their central processing unit (CPU), which is referred to as integrated graphics.
As of Jan. 5, Nvidia announced their new Nvidia 50 Series Card Series which includes the Nvidia Geforce Real-Time Texel eXtreme (RTX) 5070, which starts at $549 and will be released on Feb.2025. Nvidia Geforce RTX 5070 Ti starting at $749 releasing Feb. 2025. Nvidia Geforce 5080 starts at $999 releasing Jan 30th. Nvidia Geforce RTX 5090 starting at $1999 will be releasing on Jan 30th and is set to be the best graphic card coming out if no other competitor can surpass it by the time of its release.
Additionally, Nvidia announced that their new gaming laptops will be released in March 2025, which will include the RTX 5090. The fully equipped gaming laptops will cost around $4000. The laptop with the RTX 5080 laptop will cost between$2600 and $3000, an RTX 5070 TI will cost $2000, and an RTX 5070 will cost $1299.
