JV Girls Basketball has been exhausting throughout the ‘24 to ‘25 season. Many challenges pushing them to dominate.

   Currently, they have an astonishing record of 10-3. They are also 4-1 for their region. These girls have put constant work and effort to earn all of these well deserved wins. The best win yet has been against Cortez High School with a score of 60-8! 

  On the court there are four leaders. The team captains, Falynn Placencia, Alyssa Nunez, Rowan Smith, and Ariana Velarde. They drive the team with encouragement and leadership on the court. Placencia says, “We listen to each other and what we have to improve on to do better in the game.” She sums up that the bond is trusting and communicative on the court. Off the court many of these girls keep the same link.

   Placencia also recognizes Ms. Knowles dedication for the team. “She makes us do positions we’ve never really tried and pushes us to be better.” Knowles makes a very friendly and positive atmosphere for these girls as a whole.
    This entire team should be unbelievably proud of their fantastic season so far. The determination and motivation is paying off for all of these ladies.
