Two popular fast-food restaurants are in a chicken war to decide which is the best, Raising Canes or Chick-fil-a?
Starting off with the taste and quality of the chicken, Raising Canes is known for its crispy chicken fingers while Chick-fil-a’s chicken is described as juicy, soft, and tender. A survey was conducted to test which restaurant students prefer. The results determined that 52.25% of students think Chick-fil-a has the better chicken. Amaya Sanchez, freshman, says, “If I had to pick which to eat for the rest of my life, I would choose Chick-fil-A because the chicken is amazing”.
Both fast-food restaurants have a unique sauce that pairs well with their food. Raising Canes says that their classic Canes Sauce is made out of mayonnaise, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. According to Chick-fil-A, their famous Chick-fil-A sauce is made from barbecue sauce, honey mustard, and ranch dressing. These combinations do sound interesting, but to most people, they are delicious. Brenda Ramirez, freshman, says, “I think Canes has the better sauce because it has more flavor.” The most popular sauce was Raising Cane’s Sauce, chosen by 72.7% of students.
Lastly, which is more expensive? A popular order at Canes is the Box Combo, which contains a fountain drink, 4 chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, a side of Texas toast, and coleslaw with one Canes sauce. The whole meal is $13.39. In comparison, Chick-fil-A’s most popular meal is their chicken nugget meal. It contains 12 chicken nuggets, waffle fries, a sauce of your choice, and a fountain drink. The total of this meal is $11.99. 51% of students voted that Raising Canes was more expensive, while the other 49% believed that Chick-Fil-A was pricier.
These two fast-restaurants have been competing for many years over food preferences. The overall winner of this “chicken war” was Raising Canes, with 57.2% of people choosing it as the best, while 42.8% preferred Chick-Fil-A.
