The Legend of Zelda, one of the most influential and popular Nintendo games of all time, is finally getting a live-action movie adaptation.
The movie is set to come out on March 26, 2027. The project is in good hands, being directed by Wes Bell, well known for creating The Maze Runner. Written by Dereck Connoly, who also wrote the majority of the Jurassic Park films, the movie is not likely to disappoint.
While casting has not yet been released to the public, many fans have come together and decided who they would like to see portray different characters. Hunter Schafer and Anya Taylor Joy have both been widely considered to be perfect for the role of Zelda, the famed princess herself, according to @enbymagnus on TikTok. Walker Scobell and Tom Holland are the most common actors being requested for Link, with some fans even creating edits of them as the hero.
Thunderbird students have also begun to form opinions about casting choices. “I think it would be funny to see Jack Black play Link. He’s been playing a lot of video game characters lately,” said Jackson Kramer, sophomore.
