Last week, the Thunderbird Unified Badminton team competed in the GUHSD Unified Sports Badminton Tournament at Independence High School. Thunderbird Unified faced off against district schools in both JV and Varsity divisions, with 6 teams in each tournament.
In the Varsity Tournament, our teams battled through tough matches, displaying incredible effort and sportsmanship against some of the best competition in the district. Our athletes showed great hustle on the court and worked together every step of the way. In total, four of our six teams earned 2nd, 3rd, and 5th place finishes!
