The John McCain Leadership Competition, sponsored by the American Legion Post 41 on 25 Oct 25, was a great success for THS NJROTC. The competition included armed and unarmed drill, athletics, and a citizenship test, and included participation from 12 Army, Navy, and Air Force JROTC teams from all over phoenix and as far away as Sahuarita. Our drill teams, commanded by Cadets Abraham Nibbe and Heather Shepherd, won first place in the combined drill category (armed and unarmed). THS NJROTC also brought home a $1500 dollar check in the overall Sweepstakes category. Well done (BZ!)
