Cheering so loud you can barely hear the person standing next to you, the constant sound of the ball hitting bare skin, and the sound of school spirit ringing in your ears as the Thunderbird varsity girls Volleyball Team scores the winning point.

This team has been doing impeccably since the very beginning of the season. As of October 17, 2022, varsity has won 11 of their 13 games with more to come. I think that we have started off strong as a team and we had great showings in our first two tournaments. We are working on building trust and connection on the court as well as working through obstacles. I’m confident that we will continue to do well and go throughout the season, and I am very proud of what the girls have already accomplished.” said Carly Price, Head Coach. These girls have put their best effort into the team and it has most definitely paid off. Of the four opposing volleyball teams the Titans have played in tournaments, they have taken a total of 3 wins.

Piper Ream, team captain, said “I think the season is off to a great start and as we are progressing through the rest of the season we are adapting to the opponents we have and learning to grow as a team. I think the rest of the season will go great!” Ream is an amazing team captain alongside Lily Kuntz. They work amazing together and encourage the team like no other. Needless to say, the team and fans are quite excited to see how the rest of the season plays out.
