Jeremy Renner Injured in Snow Plow Accident

Getting run over by a snow plow is probably not the best way to start the new year however, unfortunately, Jeremy Renner had to face that major complication.

On Friday, January 6, 2023 Jeremy Renner, American actor and most well known for playing “Hawk Eye”, was attempting to pull out a family member’s truck out of the snow, and after he got out, the heavy machinery started to roll. In an attempt to get in to stop it, Renner got pulled under. 

The heavy machinery damaged Renner’s chest, “— and when he tried to hop back into the driver’s seat, he was run over by the 14,300-pound plow!” reports Radionline.com. A neighbor who happened to be a doctor witnessed the accident and managed to apply a tourniquet. According to USMagazine.com, “One day after the accident, a rep for Renner said that the actor underwent surgery on Monday, January 3, adding that he was returned to the ICU ‘in critical but stable condition’ following the procedures. ”

A doctor reported that Renner suffered from blunt chest trauma meaning he could have broken ribs consequently leading to possible heart damage. Renner was located in Nevada at the time of the accident and it had heavily snowed where “he was airlifted to a local hospital after law enforcement responded to calls about a ‘traumatic injury.’”, according to UsMagazine.com
Renner revealed that the accident resulted in 32 total broken bones. He posted on his Instagram page, “These 30 plus broken bones will mend , grow stronger, just like the love and bond with family and friends deepens.” He is in a slow but steady recovery predicted to come out good as new.
