Thunderbird’s students piled into the gym for the Winter Assembly held on December 1, 2023.

The assembly announced things like fall sports winners, the winter formal that will be held in February, and the entrance of Thunderbird High School’s new mascot. As with every assembly, games were played that included students from every grade level. The competition for the teacher wearing the most spirit gear was held and a dance competition took place. Of course, Stugo led the students through the Thunderbird chant, overall the assembly went incredibly well. 

With fall ending and winter beginning it is good to recognize the hard work of the people on sports teams as well as the cheerleaders who are always there to cheer them to victory. The teams and even some individual students were recognized for all they have done this season and a big “Good Luck” was given to the winter sports teams in hopes of them continuing to do well.  

To wrap up this recap, a big shoutout to Thunderbird’s Stugo team for putting together the assembly and spirit week.
