We all wish we had some kind of superpowers: the ability to run at superspeed, fly anywhere anytime, super strength, but we are all merely human; no one is invincible except in TV shows. Invincible season three recently released on Prime Video to wide acclaim.
Invincible shook the scene in the early aughts when it was first printed as a comic book. Invincible had character development as well as consequences for characters’ actions or inaction. The comic made strides for its fresh new take on the superhero genre. “It felt so different compared to other comic books I read,” said Wade Carr, sophomore.

Season two was no different, hastily breaking records set by the first season for viewership. A midterm break between episode releases, however, broke the flow of the series. Many fans were upset they would have to wait three more months to see season two conclude. “Invincible was on a roll; every week I was so excited to see the episode. When the break finally ended and season two concluded, it just didn’t bring the same joy to me,” said Juan Navarrete Gonzalez, sophomore.
Prime Video announced Invincible’s new season with the promise of no midseason break. Season three is the best season yet. The new episodes are a joy to watch and hold the viewer from start to the very finish. Every new episode feels planned out and progresses the story in small and large ways. The finale concludes arcs while further developing new ones. It makes everything the show built so far worth the wait. The animation was stunning and the voice acting hit an even higher peak. “It felt like a huge event. I mean this season was so incredible, I don’t know what show will fill the void until then next season comes out,” said Maikah Canlas, sophomore.
Invincible season three made a bold landing on Prime Video, bringing new light into the darkness superhero TV shows currently face.
