The paranormal is one of the most intriguing and debatable concepts that our society has adopted. However, a question that plagues the concept as a whole. Do the paranormal exist?
Paranormal can be ghosts, demons, telekinesis abilities, reincarnation, UFO abductions, cryptozoological creatures, etc. But the definition is unexplained occurrences that science cannot prove.
The first ever concept of the paranormal was over 3,500 years ago in ancient Mesopotamia. It had what happens after death in the story, how some die and go to the afterlife, and how others die but stay, roaming the earth, according to History Bombs.
41% of adults in America said that they believe in the paranormal. According to the University of South Carolina. More than half of the kids who answered the survey here at Thunderbird said they believe. Some kids left their own personal experiences.
Savannah Mena, senior said she believed because of her experience,” It has just been a common belief in my household, diving into religion as well as just an explanation for the unexplainable. I strongly believe situations I’ve encountered, although some may be explainable, others point in the direction of the paranormal.”
There is no scientific proof that it exists. But there are many who are witnesses to the paranormal. One being a man who pleaded guilty to his trial for murder, by reason of demonic possession. His name was Arne Cheyenne Johnson. He stabbed his landlord over 40 times. He said that a demon had possessed him during the exorcism of his girlfriend’s little brother, David Gletzel. He has let the demon possess him to come out of David. Arne was still found guilty by the court and served five years.
Ultimately, the paranormal invites us to question the limits of our understanding. Between science and superstition lies a space where curiosity thrives, urging us to explore what cannot yet be explained
