What passengers thought was going to be a smooth flight turned into their plane flipping over, losing a wing, and causing passengers to hang upside down from their seatbelts.
A Delta plane traveling internationally from Minneapolis to Toronto emergency-crash landed. All of the 80 people on board, 76 passengers and four crew members, survived. The crash resulted in 21 passengers having slight injuries, and they were taken to the hospital to get checked. As the plane was landing, it crashed hard and slid at 100 mph down the runway with the plane sparking and catching fire for a few seconds.
Days prior to the crash, there were some harsh storms that left snow and severe conditions on the landing strip. This is why the plane slid so fast. Delta Airlines has confirmed that they are offering $30,000 compensation to all of the passengers involved in the crash. A company spokesperson said that the offer comes with “no strings attached” and that it doesn’t affect the passengers’ rights or their future choices with the airline.
